Eligibility

Students must meet all IHSA and Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park eligibility requirements to be eligible to participate in athletic, including:

  1. All participants are required to have a valid annual medical evaluation on file with the school.
  2. Students must have received passing grades in twenty-five (25) credit hours in the previous semester to be eligible.
  3. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA the current semester and not be failing any classes. Coaches and the athletic director will do weekly grade checks to ensure students maintain eligibility throughout the season.
  4. Students must meet all IHSA residency requirements.
  5. Transfer students (excluding 9th graders) must be deemed eligible by the IHSA before they will be allowed to compete in interscholastic contests.
