RoboMinds Win!

The three HSA Mckinley Park boys robotics teams traveled to Marion, IL and participated in a regional competition on Saturday. This was their second time competing in a regional and they did great. One of the teams, the RoboMinds, placed second and played in the finals. They won the Finalist Alliance Captain Award (the students also got medals for being in second place).

This success is even more significant since our students are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are competing against high school students.
The RoboMinds were finalists for the Control Award (best robot programming).
The Cyber Wolves were finalists for the Motivate Award.
A big thank you goes out to Mr. Louis Maldonado for driving one of the vans to and from Marion. Also, a big thank you to the parents who came all the way to Marion to support the teams.
This Friday, the teams will be traveling to Dayton, Ohio for another competition.
